Dr Bhavna Patel is a Medical Superintendent and General Practitioner at Groote Schuur hospital in Cape Town.
She qualified as a medical doctor when she graduated from the University of Cape Town with her MBChB degree and went on to further study a Masters in Family Medicine at the University of Stellenbosch and Postgraduate Diploma from the Medical Colleges of South Africa. She also became a Fellow of the College of Public Health Medicine.
She is responsible for the overall supervision of Groote Schuur. She is also responsible for the development of the hospital.
