Dr Gert Bosch

Dr. Gert Bosch is a psychiatrist in private practice. He has a private practice in Brooklyn and consults at Denmar Hospital. Dr Bosch did his internship at 2 Military Hospital and worked in the internal medicine department at this hospital in the year following his internship. He then worked as a general medical practitioner for a few months before he started his specialist training at the University of Pretoria and Weskoppies Hospital. He has been in private practice since 2003. At the practice inpatients as well as outpatients are treated. The practice does part time work as a research site for pharmaceutical companies in trails to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new psychiatric medications. The patients seen at the practice range from the young to geriatric patients and includes a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. He also does consultation liaison psychiatry for patients admitted to General Hospitals. His interest lies in the integration of psychological factors and personality attributes in the clinical presentation of the patients he sees. Towards this aim he works with psychologists. Medical factors are also taken into consideration in a well formulated treatment plan. Dr Bosch has a special interest in Psychotic Illnesses and is assisting the Viva Team toward holistic wellness after medication stabilization.
