Dr John Callaghan

Dr John Callaghan is an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist in Arcadia, Pretoria. He received his MBChB from the University of Witwatersrand and went on to do his Master of Medicine Degree, specializing in Otorhinolaryngology, from the University of Pretoria before moving on to complete various courses through Universities and Institutions in Europe and America. Dr John Callaghan worked in many public hospitals before going into private practice; he served as a medical officer at One Military Hospital in Voortrekkerhoogte (now Thaba Tshwane) and was also the district surgeon for the Western Transvaal. He started his own practice, Callaghan Practice Inc., which is thought to be the oldest existing Ear, Nose and Throat practice in South Africa, having opened on February 3rd 1965. Dr John Callaghan's special interests include Surgery Co-management, Allergies, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease, Phonosurgery and Microsurgery of the ear.
