  ⭐ 1 STAR I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr Mirjana Popara at Laserderm Bedfordview on 20 August 2026. I paid R1,400 for a specialist dermatology consultation and attended with several concerns, including my scalp, facial skin, spots on my legs and an ongoing bump near my inner thigh. The consultation lasted less than 15 minutes and I felt extremely rushed and dismissed. My scalp was one of the main reasons I attended, yet I do not feel that it was properly examined. I also attempted to discuss my face and other concerns, but felt that I was cut off and not given a reasonable opportunity to explain everything or ask the questions I had prepared. I left the appointment feeling that I had not received the specialist assessment I had paid for. I was so shocked by the experience that I went directly to reception afterwards and questioned whether I had made the right choice of doctor. What has made the situation even more concerning is the doctor's subsequent written response to my complaint. I recall being told during the consultation that I had eczema, while her written response states that I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis. Her description of what was discussed during the appointment also differs significantly from my recollection of what actually happened. I have now had to look for another dermatologist to properly address the concerns I originally attended with. I am sharing my experience because R1,400 is a significant amount of money for a specialist consultation, and I expected to feel listened to, properly examined and given sufficient time to explain my concerns.
