GetaDoc Advertising Policy
GetaDoc accepts advertising on the GetaDoc Platform from third-party entities (“Advertisers”). This may encompass third-party banners, contextual advertising, and content created or provided by Advertisers (“Advertisements” or “Advertising”). Additionally, within the framework of this policy, the terms “Advertising” and “Advertisements” include third-party banners, modules, links, microsites, native advertisements, and other content offered by or on behalf of Advertisers. Advertisers are accountable for the accuracy and objectivity of their Advertising content. The following guidelines have been established by GetaDoc to oversee various aspects of Advertising across properties within the GetaDoc Platform (each referred to as a “GetaDoc Property”). This encompasses websites and mobile applications geared toward consumers, denoted here as “GetaDoc Consumer Properties,” and websites and mobile applications directed at healthcare professionals, referred to as “GetaDoc Professional Properties.”
The guidelines laid out in this policy dictate matters such as the acceptance of Advertisements by GetaDoc, the display of Advertisements on the GetaDoc Platform, and the removal of Advertisements from the GetaDoc Platform. GetaDoc has the sole and absolute discretion when it comes to interpreting and enforcing this policy and all other issues related to Advertising on the GetaDoc Platform. GetaDoc retains the right to modify this policy at its discretion by posting an updated policy on the relevant GetaDoc Property.
GetaDoc holds the exclusive authority to determine the kinds of Advertising that will be accepted and exhibited on the GetaDoc Platform. Under no circumstances should GetaDoc’s acceptance of any Advertisement be interpreted as an endorsement of the advertised product(s) and/or service(s), or the company behind the promotion, manufacturing, distribution, or promotion of those products or services.
GetaDoc will not knowingly permit Advertising that, in GetaDoc’s assessment, lacks factual accuracy and good taste.
Certain categories of Advertisements will not be permitted on the GetaDoc Platform at any time. These categories include but are not restricted to the following:
- Illegal, ‘objectionable’, ‘ineffective,’ and/or ‘dangerous’ products (GetaDoc reserves the right to define what is ‘objectionable’, ‘ineffective,’ and/or ‘dangerous’).
- Fraudulent, deceptive, illicit, misleading, or offensive content.
- Material that misrepresents, ridicules, discriminates (real or implied), or attacks individuals or groups based on age, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or any other status deemed unsuitable for the GetaDoc Platform.
- Alcohol.
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or fireworks.
- Gambling.
- Pornography or related themes.
- All forms of tobacco use.
- Simulated news or emergency content.
- Material that directly markets products to, or aims to attract, children under the age of 13.
- Media or messages related to “M” rated video games or content.
- Unreasonable, unlikely, or extraordinary product or service claims.
- Media messages or imagery with strobe or flashing effects.
- Media or messages containing unsubstantiated “miracle” weight loss or other exaggerated cure claims.
- Advertising units that mimic computer functions or deceptively imply a computer or other function that a reasonable user might assume is a reason to click on the unit.
- GetaDoc maintains a clear distinction between Advertising and its editorial content. All Advertising on the GetaDoc Platform is identified clearly and unambiguously. GetaDoc will not permit any Advertising on its platform that lacks the label of “Advertisement,” “From Our Advertiser,” “Information From Industry,” or a similar identifier indicating that the content is provided by or on behalf of an Advertiser.
Clicking on an Advertisement will only direct the user to the Advertiser’s website or a relevant sponsored content section on a GetaDoc Property.
GetaDoc possesses exclusive control over the display of search results for specific information by keyword or topic on its properties. If Advertising appears in search results, it will be labelled accordingly. Additionally, GetaDoc provides a dedicated area on certain GetaDoc Consumer Properties’ search results pages specifically for displaying Advertising.
GetaDoc maintains the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether it will accept, reject, cancel, or remove Advertising from the GetaDoc Platform. GetaDoc cannot guarantee that Advertisements will function error-free across all platforms, including websites and mobile applications.
Advertisers are responsible for adhering to all applicable domestic and foreign laws and regulations regarding their Advertising on the GetaDoc Platform. This includes including any legally required legends, disclosures, and statements in their Advertising. GetaDoc will not actively monitor compliance with such laws and regulations. However, GetaDoc reserves the right to review all Advertising for compliance and may remove Advertising that breaches applicable laws, regulations, or guidelines from the GetaDoc Platform.
No Advertising on the GetaDoc Platform shall include any pixels, tags, flash containers, or any other type of information collection software code (“Pixel”) without written approval from GetaDoc. If a Pixel is approved, the Advertiser must adhere to certain conditions, including restrictions on collecting personally identifiable information and data linking. Advertisers must comply with these terms as set out by GetaDoc.
